SWITCHES

Switches - everybody uses them, everybody knows them. There is no doubt that someone in the world had to invent a symbol for this important part of electical devices. Somebody did it, however, and this is the result:

It is plain to see that the only function of a switch is to close an electrical circuit or to open it in the same way but vice versa. Many different implementations of this simple switch were invented, but the symbol makes them to what they are: A family of bell-ringing, light-switching, data-entering or alarm clock-stopping little things.
